Established in April 2019, Moorlands Voluntary and Community Transport is a Registered Charity that aims to support residents of the Staffordshire Moorlands who are struggling to get out and about; whether that be to meet friends in a social setting or to attend a vital medical appointment.

Being part of the local community means we are aware of the issues that people in rural and semi-rural communities face – having to travel a significant distance for many amenities, including doctors’ surgeries and hospitals, along with a lack of regular public transport. Combine this with the high number of older people in the area and you have a significant number of residents who require support.

We would like to thank the above organisations for their support during the past year

  • Through our amazing teams of volunteers our Voluntary Transport scheme aims to help those residents of the Staffordshire Moorlands who have no private transport and are unable to use public transport. Whilst our Community Transport scheme enables local voluntary, community and not-for-profit organisations to offer transport to their members.

We offer both a Voluntary Transport Scheme and a Community Transport Scheme. The Voluntary  Transport Scheme uses private cars to offer transport to those in need. The Community Transport Scheme is ideal for groups looking for minibus transport.

Please note: this is not a taxi service.
